Neodymium magnets (also called “NdFeB”, “Neo” or “NIB” magnets) are powerful permanent magnets made of neodymium, iron and boron alloys. They are part of the rare earth magnet series and have the highest magnetic properties of all permanent magnets. Due to their high magnetic strength and relatively low cost, they are the first choice for many consumer, commercial, industrial and technical applications.
Neodymium magnets are considered strong because of their high saturation magnetization and resistance to demagnetization. Although they are more expensive than ceramic magnets, powerful neodymium magnets have a powerful impact! A major benefit is that you can use smaller size NdFeB magnets to achieve the same purpose as larger, cheaper magnets. Since the size of the entire device will be reduced, it may lead to a reduction in overall cost.
If the physical properties of the neodymium magnet remain unchanged and are not affected by demagnetization (such as high temperature, reverse magnetic field, radiation, etc.), it may lose less than about 1% of its magnetic flux density within ten years.
Neodymium magnets are much less affected by cracks and chipping than other rare earth magnetic materials (such as Sa cobalt (SmCo)), and the cost is also lower. However, they are more sensitive to temperature. For critical applications, S cobalt may be a better choice because its magnetic properties are very stable at high temperatures.
N30, N35, N38, N40, N42, N48, N50 and N52 grades can be used for NdFeB magnets of all shapes and sizes. We store these magnets in disk, rod, block, rod and ring shapes. Not all neodymium magnets are displayed on this website, so if you don’t find what you need, please contact us.
