Permanent Magnet Coupling
Magnetic coupling, a kind of coupling offers a non-contact transfer of torque, which connects the prime mover(motor) and the working machine through the magnetic force of the permanent magnet.
It does not need a direct mechanical connection but use the attraction and repulsion of the magnetic poles to transmit rotational power. To put it simply, it results in a non-contact transmission of mechanical energy.
They are typically used in pumps for seal-less applications; keeping corrosive, toxic, or flammable liquids from escaping into the atmosphere. And produce no noise, vibration or thermal conduction.
